• Information that defines the product to be specified or codified.

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• The detailed breakdown of information within an Information Identification Guide (IIG), Federal Information Identification Guide (FIIG) or alternative cataloguing process guide.
• The detailed item design information or parts list associated.
