activity_feedback Business Overview

This business DEX defines the information that can be fed back from the conduct of activities in support of a Platform, System or Equipment (PSE) in-service, to enable the monitoring and assessment of the performance and status of the PSE and/or its support solution and to facilitate support decisions to be made based on observed parameters and events. It includes the reporting of activities in progress, with predicted outcomes, as well as completed activities.

The DEX enables documents to be associated with activities that could be used for evidence of observations (such as technical reports by specialists), for certification purposes or for guidance on the activity.

The activity undertaken could result in configuration changes to the PSE and the DEX enables reporting of embodiments of modifications, role changes and replacement of serial numbered components.

It also enables reporting of the status of a PSE; this could reflect the condemning of a piece of equipment as unserviceable and beyond economic repair or the upgrading of an equipment from defective to fully serviceable and ready for use.

This DEX enables reporting on the accuracy of the predicted or planned activity. For example, reports can be created on any aspects of an activity based on a task within the support solution that were found to cause difficulty when the activity was undertaken; such as inadequate time to do the task, insufficient numbers of personnel or incorrect skill levels, etc. The scope statements contain a more comprehensive list of the aspects that could be reported on.

The reporting of activities in progress allows for outcomes to be predicted, including such items as expected completion dates, the inability to complete a task within the timescale or the need for additional resources. It also enables recommendations about follow-on activities for completed tasks.
