platform_system_equipment Business Overview

The Platform System Equipment (PSE) allows the representation of physical and functional hierarchies of the type of product as well as actual products; and will also be able to represent a grouping of similar products or product designs. For example, it can describe the design of a Tornado, a Tornado with a specific tail number, or a squadron of Tornadoes which are subject to a particular maintenance task.

The term PSE is recognised within the Acquisition Operating Framework (AOF).
