Introduction

This document describes the UK_Defence Business Data Exchange Specification for defining Asset Status information. This information is used primarily for recording the operational state of assets during the in-service phase of their life cycle. It is originally generated by the manufacturer of the asset, it is required by in-service TLS processes such as fleet and asset management and it is updated through life by processes such as maintenance management, operations and training.

The overall scope of this UK_Defence Business Data Exchange Specification is taken from the UK_Defence Business Process Model information flow of the same name, and whose class is defined to be:

Serviceability status of the asset - serviceable/unserviceable, fit/unfit.
