Support Equipment Requirements

Note: Information shown in the UML class diagram illustrates information represented by the DEX. Not all the information contained in the UML class diagram is required for every data exchange.

Figure 3 —  UML Model of Support Equipment

Figure 3 —  UML Model of Support Equipment

Information shown in the UML class diagram is as follows:

Support Equipment captures a large portion of data which occurs one time per support/training equipment item and contains the support equipment narratives.

Allocation allows documenting of specific information relating allocation documents to discrete facility types and maintenance levels.

Support Equipment Parameters Data allows documenting the discrete parameters which can be measured, generated, etc., by the support/training equipment. The capabilities documented here are the basis for determining suitability of an Support Equipment item when compared to the unit under test parameters. This entity can be used to document parameters for either Calibration Maintenance Requirements Summary Category II or Category III Support Equipment.

Support Equipment Autorization allows documenting specific activities and quantities to which the Supporting Equipment item is to be authorized, as well as the location of each activity.

Support Equipment Recommendation data allows documenting Support Equipment Recommendation data specific information such as, submittal and disposition dates.

Alternative National Stock Number allows documenting alternate NSNs of items which may be substituted for the subject Support/Training Equipment item.

Input Output Source document power requirements to operate the support/training equipment under analysis. Included are voltage levels, frequency ranges, power requirements, phase type, and alternating or direct current data

Support Design Equipment Design allows documenting detailed cost, requirement, and recommendation information for the various design data elements.

Supercedure information about the item replacing, or being replaced by, the Support Equipment item under analysis.

Support Equipment Integrated Logistics Support Requirement Category code allows documenting the element(s) of Integrated Logistics Support that are required or recommended to be addressed for the Support Equipment item. Also included is the estimated price, whether requiring authority required or performing activity recommended, and a scope (normally a data item description) for each Integrated Logistics Support element documented.

System Equipment Data allows documenting items which are components of the system/equipment and are necessary to be used in conjunction with the Support Equipment item to perform its intended function.

Unit Under Test Requirements

Note: Information shown in the UML class diagram illustrates information represented by the DEX. Not all the information contained in the UML class diagram is required for every data exchange.

Figure 4 —  UML Model of Unit Under Test

Figure 4 —  UML Model of Unit Under Test

Information shown in the UML class diagram is as follows:

Article Requiring Support Unit under Test identifies the Unit under Test which is a component of a system breakdown structure. A Unit under Test can be either a component of the system/equipment or a piece of complex Support Equipment itself which must be documented under the end article for contractual or provisioning purposes.

Unit under Test Support Equipment relates the Unit under Test breakdown element with the Support Equipment .

Operational Test Program allows documenting identification and cost data pertaining to the Operational Test Program. The Operational Test Program is used in conjunction with another support equipment item, normally Automatic Test Equipment

Unit under Test Support Equipment Operational Test Program ties together the relationship between the Support Equipment, Unit under Test, and the Operational Test Program to maintain the specific application of the Operational Test Program

Test Program Instruction allows documenting basic identification and cost information pertaining to a test program instruction.

Unit under Test Parameter Group allows documenting specific information about individual parameters which the unit under test requires to have measured, generated, etc. by the support equipment.

Unit under Test Fault Isolated Replaceable Unit allows documenting the relationship between Support Equipment, Unit under Test, task provisioned items, and Fault Isolated Replaceable Units (FIRU).

Adapter Interconnector Device contains pricing and identification information about items which are utilized to interface the Unit under Test with the Support Equipment.

Unit under Test Support Equipment Adapter Interconnector Device cross-references data pertaining to the relationship between the Support Equipment, Adapter/interconnecting Device, and the Unit under Test.

Automatic Test Equipment Test Station used to document identification and government designator information concerning the Automatic Test Equipment Test Station required on a Support Equipment Recommendation data summary.

Unit under Test Support Equipment Automatic Test Equipment cross-references the Automatic Test Equipment Test Station data with the Unit under Test Support

Support Equipment Item Unit under Test identifies pieces of Support Equipment (Calibration and Measurement Requirement Summary category II items) that are linked with Calibration and Measurement Requirement Summary category III items (Support Equipment in support of the category II Support Equipment).

Support Equipment Unit under Test Parameter Group captures a large portion of data which occurs one time per support/training equipment item.

Task Provisioned Item documents spares and repair parts, to include mandatory replacement parts needed in support of the subject task.
