Abstract

This information represents the hierarchical decomposition of a product based upon a breakdown view of the physical elements for support. Included are the End Item (product in focus) definition, the functional and physical breakdown (documented via the Logistics Support Analysis Control Number), identification of alternate breakdown elements and assignment and application of model variants (via Usable on Codes), In addition, level of repair analysis (LORA) modeling information is included at the End item (product in focus) level.

The breakdown element structure for an end item (product in focus) is necessary for all DEXs. The breakdown element structure is not limited to the use of a Logistics Support Analysis Control Number.
