The availability of accurate and dynamic support cost information is a crucial aspect of through life support management.

This DEX provides a means of collating and recording the costs associated with the through-life support of the programme. Collating all the through-life support costs on large programmes or long timescale projects can be complex. However if the cost of one programme element can be measured and established, a cost ‘building block’ towards the collation of the whole cost will have been established.

This DEX thus enables the exchange of a support cost breakdown at any level within a hierarchical support cost structure. Achievement of a support cost breakdown at any point in that structure, up to the overall programme, may be readily determined if all the subordinate support cost breakdowns are in place.
