Scope

The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• Information that defines the relationships between elements of the different types of breakdowns.
• Information that defines the relationships between elements of the Product Assembly Structure and elements of the various breakdowns.
• Information that defines the relationships between elements of the Product Assembly Structure and realized (actual) products that have been manufactured.

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• The definition of detailed design information.
• The information associated with the configuration change management process.
• The information associated with failure modes.
