For the purposes of this specification, the following terms apply:
Denomination
For this DEX, denomination relates to the unit quantity of issue for items.
- This is in accordance with the UK_Defence Property template description of
the Unit attribute
- A context specific adaptation of the UK_Defence Item of Supply template
description 'The quantity that represents a unit of purchase'
NOTE
The Defence Data Repository [http://www.cdma.mod.uk/] identifies the term
denonination as depricated and Unit of Supply should be used. Denomination is
used in this DEX to ensure compatability, for the implementor, with other
templates .

Unit
An organizational unit. A military (or possibly civilian) team responsible
for ordering inventory items for local spares storage, or for maintenance and repair
tasks to support the efficient operation of a PSE.

Unit
A quantitive measure for the supply of an inventory item.
The
UK_Defence Property template, describes a Unit as the unit of the Property.
This is typically:
- an SI unit,
- an Imperial Unit,
- any other accepted or standard denomination of quantity (such as currency
units),
- any equipment specific usage unit.

Unit Identification Number (UIN)
Military units, identified by their unique UIN, that are deployable and
therefore will have a base address and a deployed or non-standard location/address.
Optionally the DEX allows for the identification of the person placing the
demand, as well as the Unit.
