The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

This NDLO-DEX identifies, defines and describes significant data about parts as well as shared data between a part and its constituent parts. The NDLO-DEX consists of three main business DEXs.

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

This NDLO-DEX does not provide data about design characteristics of a part, nor about individual products.It does not describe explicit assemblies with direct parent/child relationship.
