2410_form Business Information Overview

Each of the Inventory and Maintenance activities requires a different subset of the DA 2410 form to be completed. The information required by each activity is summarized diagrammatically in the following sections. Each diagram has been derived from the information provided in Army Pamphlet 738-751 (http://www.armedforces.net/Detailed/21027.html) and shows how the information on the form (the numbered grey boxes in the diagram represent the numbered blocks on the DA2140 form) has been functionally grouped to support the activity. The ISO 10303-239 constructs that are required to represent this information is then described the subsequent section.

The groupings of information captured by the form are:

Activity Record
A record of the activity being reported. In the following diagrams, this is the central orange block.

Activity properties
Properties of the activity such as man hours to complete.

Activity characterization
Characterization of the activity such as who undertook the activity and when.

Reportable item
The product that was subject of the activity being reported.

Properties of the Reportable item
The properties, such as lifing information, of the product that was subject of the activity being reported.

States of the Reportable item
The states, such as failure state, of the product that was subject of the activity being reported.

Part replaced
A list of the parts that have been replaced during the maintenance activity.

APU
The auxiliary power unit of the aircraft to which the reportable item was fitted.
