3 Scope Reporting the maintenance activities authorised and scheduled, or undertaken, on a reportable item; SBH - Is this really about scheduling ? If so, may want to add things like resource allocation as well as actual usage. But the DEX Business Application section states that its about "maintenance activities that have been undertaken".

The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

Reporting the authorisation to undertake a maintenance task on a Product In Focus (an asset), e.g. work order;
Reporting the activities performed by a Product In Focus, e.g.sorties;
Reporting the maintenance activities authorised to be undertaken on a Product In Focus or activities that have been undertaken on a Product In Focus;
- Reporting the resources used when undertaking maintenance activities on a Product In Focus;
- Reporting the removal and installation of parts during maintenance activities undertaken on a Product In Focus;
  - removal of serviceable or unserviceable Products In Focus from an asset such as an aircraft or support item;
  - installation of Products In Focus on an asset such as an aircraft or support item;
  - removal and re installation of items to allow access to Products In Focus;
- Reporting when a Product In Focus is identified as having been inspected and the relevant dates, e.g. period of validity;
Reporting on a Product In Focus status;
- reporting a Product In Focus' immediate configuration, e.g. its parent and child items;
- reporting the consumption of a Product In Focus' life and properties, such as health, e.g. tyre pressure;
- reporting a change to the serviceability state of a Product In Focus;
- reporting when a Product In Focus is identified as having a symptom or fault;
- reporting an extension of a Product In Focus' life, both finite life and life at which maintenance task is due;
- reporting new part numbers or part types;
- reporting changes to existing part numbers, part types or serial numbers;
- reporting the effect on items that are related to a Product In Focus;
- reporting on the environment of a Product In Focus;
Reporting when a Product In Focus moves to another geographical location;
Reporting the organization that owns the Product In Focus;
Reporting the person who is responsible for the Product In Focus and the safety of everyone around it;
Reporting changes to inventory;
- Reporting when an item is added to an inventory;
- Reporting when an item is removed from an inventory.

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

Reporting on the complete configuration status of the aircraft or support item;
Reporting on the product breakdown of the aircraft or support item;
Reporting on the history of activities performed by, or on, a Product In Focus, other than providing data with an earlier timestamp;
Detailed representation of the task that specified the maintenance activity (the maintenance procedure).
Reporting the use of resources, including human, during usage of a product.
