Scope

The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• The information that defines a zonal breakdown
• The information that identifies a position in the zonal breakdown
• The information that identifies the type of zonal breakdown
• The information that identifies the parent of an element in the zonal breakdown
• The information that identifies the children of an element in the zonal breakdown
• The information that identifies the items within a zone
• The information that characterizes the elements of the zonal breakdown
• The information that characterizes the relationships between the elements of the zonal breakdown
• The information that characterizes additional identifiers for the elements of the zonal breakdown
• The information that describes the zones in a zonal breakdown.
• The information that characterizes the documents associated with the elements of the zonal breakdown
• The information that characterizes the properties associated with elements of the zonal breakdown
• The information that characterizes the approval of zonal breakdowns and their elements

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• The product configuration information within a breakdown
• The information that relates elements of this type of breakdown with elements in other types of breakdowns
• The information that relates elements of this type of breakdown with elements in a ProductAssemblyStructure
• The information that relates elements of this type of breakdown with an actual manufactured part
• The information that defines the requirements for the breakdown and breakdown elements
• The information that identifies the items within a zone (for this see the Product Information DEX).
