support_solution_definition_resource_recommendation Business Overview

The Support Solution is developed under the control of the project IPT, by other IPTs/MoD organisations and contractors, and each support element is normally subject to detailed analysis, resulting in support strategies and appropriate resource recommendations. A typical source of this support information would be the LSAR C Tables; with targets for inventory item recommendations such as: CRISP, USAS, SCCS, or SS3. The appropriate IPT would be invited to procure/provide relevant facilities/utilities (although this may be passed to an Industry partner) and for personnel recommendations, organisations such as Director Naval Manning (DNM) in the Second Sea Lord’s area would consider branch structures and conduct Training Needs Analyses with the eventual management of training through TAFMIS or its successor DRITMIS. For documentation, AECMA S1000D based systems would be utilised.
