As stated above, the DEX will have as main elements: the PSE, its usage profile and the Operating Environment and the operating organization, with a reference to the appropriate elements of the existing or envisaged support environment, such as facilities, bases, training organisations, etc.
Whilst covering the man-made physical and organisational aspects of the environment within which the PSE will operate and be supported, the Support Context will also include characteristics, such as temperature and humidity, of the natural environment.
In defining the Support Context, a number of Assumptions will be made and these will be recorded an available for completeness within the DEX. Similarly, the relevant Requirements from which the Support Context is derived will also be included.
Not all relevant information is easily contained within the DEX framework and so associations to Documents will be established.
