Scope

The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

Information that is used to define the message that performs the transmission of the work requirement information between the source and destination UK_Defence processes.
The identification, naming, versioning and status of the schedule.
The justification for the existence of the schedule.
The identification of the task, task list or plan from which the schedule was derived.
The identification of the task from which each activity in the schedule was derived.
The start and end dates and times for the schedule.
The representation of the decomposition of the schedule into activities and the activities into sub-activities.
The representation of the sequence / precedence constraints between activities and sub activities within the schedule.
Information that identifies the asset to which each activity within the schedule applies, either by the original manufacturers identifier, or by an alias identifier that is defined by another organization, such as the owning, operating, asset management or maintenance organization of the asset.
Information that relates the asset to the part information that defines the asset.
Information that relates the asset to its NATO stock number, if that part is codified.
Identification of the resources allocated to execute the schedule, including material resources (spares, test equipment etc), personnel, facilities, utilities and related information resources such as drawings, documents or procedures. Resources may be allocated to execute the individual activities or they may be rationalized and applicable to the schedule as a whole
The locations where the activities within the scheduled are required or specified to be performed.
Documentation associated with the schedule or any of its constituent activities.

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

Authority to commence work.
The full specification of the task that defines each activity within the schedule.
Recording activity progress, completion, resource usage or other related feedback.
