Abstract

This document describes the UK_Defence Business Data Exchange Specification for the information content required to exchange the hierarchical decomposition of a product based upon a breakdown view of the physical elements for support. This information is generated during support analysis which may overlap the manufacturing / production phase, but may also be updated by the impact of design changes later in the life of the product. It is used frequently within numerous UK_Defence processes such as in the definition of the support solution and in the production of technical manuals for support when the product is in-service.
