Introduction

This capability describes how to record the case where the product or activity varies from the original intent. It allows for the authorization of the continued use, possibly with some restrictions, of the product or activity.

EXAMPLE The car can only be driven at less than 100 kph whilst the windscreen is cracked.

EXAMPLE there is a manufacturing defect on the component which means that it deviates from the design, the deviation has been checked and is acceptable.
