in *The purpose of the *Assigning Resource Properties* capability is to describe .....* should this be the name *Assigning Properties to Resources* instead of id? (similar for other capabilities in this set )Comment: (Ian Bailey 2004-05-10)
Fixed for all modules in this series.
Issue: THX-2 by Tom Hendrix (04-05-07) [minor_technical, closed] - {Type = introduction}
remove either e.g. or etc. from *(e.g. required resources, managed resources, etc.)*Comment: (Ian Bailey 2004-05-10)
Fixed.
This capability describes how properties are assigned to resources.
A property is the definition of a characteristic of something. It may reflect physics or arbitrary user defined measurements.
Properties can be assigned to products, documents, requirements, activities, and resources (e.g. required resources, managed resources), among other things.
The purpose of the "Assigning Properties to Resources" capability is to describe how properties are assigned to these different resource entities.
EXAMPLE assigning properties to a stock line (managed resource) - e.g. "availability"
EXAMPLE assigning properties to required test equipment (required resource) - e.g. "accuracy"
In order to give those properties values, the capabilities C079: representing_properties_numerically, C084: representing_property_value_ranges, and C080: representing_properties_textually should be used.
NOTE Properties can also be assigned to documents, processes (e.g. activities and activity_methods) and products. Details are provided in: C087: assigning_document_properties, C078: assigning_resource_properties and C076: assigning_product_properties respectively.
