Introduction

Application Modules (AM) are stand-alone STEP EXPRESS modules that can be resued in many different Application protocols. For the PLCS Application Protocol (AP239) about 100 (?) modules were used. The AM are STEP parts numbered in the 1xxx-series.

There are three levels of Application Modules.

• fundation modules
• characterization modules (names ending with "..._chracterizied")
• implementation modules (names starting with "ap239_...")

The modules can be listed in the left hand side frame by clicking the "Modules" link in the EXPRESS section of the banner menu
