Scope

The following are within the scope of this Data EXchange Set (DEX):

• Header information including identification, date, revision, status and involved parties;
• Reference to the product to be maintained;
• References to the product breakdown elements which has been assigned with maintenace tasks:
• Associations between product breakdown elements and parts that may realize that element;
• References to the maintenance tasks being defined for each product breakdown element;
• Classification of each specified maintenance task as preventive or corrective maintenance;
• Applicability for each specified maintenance task including environment, operating state, and product configuration;
• Task trigger and task trigger tolerances for each specified maintenance task;
• Maintenance line/organization responsible for each specified maintenance task;
• Specification of whether a specified task could be performed without removing the part from the system;
• References to documents, such as maintenance instructions, for each specified task;
• Feedback and reporting codes for each specified maintenance task.

The following are outside the scope of this Data EXchange Set:

• Detailed descriptions of task methods;
• Specification of volume of work;
• Change management activities (such as service bullentins);
• Operating and supply support activities.
