Using the banner menu

On the top of the page, there is a banner menu. From this menu, most of the resources on this site are easily accessed. This page reveals what is hidden behind each menu item. If you at any point wishes to return to the layout that you first met when you entered DEXlib, just press your browsers 'refresh' button.

Links looking like this lead to other pages within DEXlib (or STEPmod). Links with the full adress shown (e.g. (http://www.iso.org)) takes you to external resources.

NOTICE - If you're using the XML edition of DEXlib, sometimes you should expect quite long loading times for new pages after clicking on a link. So if nothing happens, wait another ten seconds before clicking another link or restarting your browser.

The content of the banner menu

The "Start" link

This link reloads the start page into the main window. Use your browsers 'refresh' button if you wish to reload also the DEX Specifications menu in the left margin.

The "Info" link

You've probably already used this link while navigating to this page. It loads the table of contents for the PLCS DEXlib Information pages into the main window.

The "DEXs" section

The links ('Identifier', 'Name' and 'Number') in this section lets you organize the left hand side list of DEXs according to your preferences.

The "Capabilities" section

The links ('Identifier', 'Name', 'Number' and 'Function') in this section lets you organize the left hand side list of Capabilities according to your preferences.

The "Business DEXs" link

By clicking on the Business Concept link, a menu of projects and organisations are displayed in the left hand side frame. By expanding them, the Business Concept they've devloped are listed.

The "RDL" section

The RDL link loads a menu of existing reference data libraries in the left hand side frame.

The "Terminology" section

The Terms link loads a menu of PLCS terms grouped in alphabetic order in the left hand side frame.

The "EXPRESS" section

The links ('Enteties' and 'Modules') in this section displays the AP239 EXPRESS enteties and modules in the left hand side frame. Be patient, the loading of the list might take a while.

The "Test Data" section

The test data section holds test data intended to be used to test (verify) developed PLCS software applications, and for examples in the developed DEXs and Capabilities. The test data set, which describes a bike, is not yet completed. It consists of one mind-map file and one STEP p28 file.

The "Tools" link

The tools link loads a menu with links to scripts, logs and listings useful during development of DEXs, Capabilities and Business Concepts.
