The following are within the scope of this Data EXchange Set (DEX):
Task identifier with versioning;
Identification of the product (supported item), to which the task applies;
Identification of resources required to execute the task, including spares, expendables, consumables,
tools, protective clothing, facilities and personnel etc;
Identification of intended support levels at which the task may be performed
(e.g. on equipment, on bench, at a maintenance depot);
Summary of the justification for the existence of a task e.g. prevent a failure, failure rectification.
There might also be a reference to identified support drivers;
Identification/specification of pre-task product/environmental state;
Legal, health and safety advisories;
Reference to pre/post condition tasks;
Task procedure including references to included tasks and to other documents;
Specification of the expected result of performing the task (e.g. the state of the product);
Specification of reporting requirement after the execution of the task
(e.g. reporting on; new product configuration, repair time, resources used and consumed);
Reference to related documents (related to, but not part of task).
The following are outside the scope of this Data EXchange Set:
Tasks related to a serialized product;
Establishment of support drivers;
Specification of the actual organisations that can perform a task;
Identification or specification of plans, schedules and execution of task;
Recording of the execution of a task;
Identification of the mechanism for reporting the suitability of the task and support
solution (e.g. It needed more people, different skills, more resources, different tools).
