Scope

The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• All elements of the System Requirement Document [SRD] from which it has been derived, that deal with feedback of in-service events affecting assets, namely:
  • The exchange of asset geographical status change data (SR 4.01).
  • The exchange of asset serviceability status change data (SR 4.02).
  • The exchange of asset ownership change data (SR 4.03).
  • The exchange of asset symptom, description, faults, failures and related work order data (SR 4.04).
  • The exchange of asset engineering instruction embodiment data (SR 4.05).
  • The exchange of asset removal and fitment data (SR 4.06).
  • The exchange of asset maintenance activity work order data (SR 4.07).
  • The exchange of asset lifing extension data (SR 4.08).
  • The exchange of asset life consumption data (SR 4.09).
  • The exchange of asset serial number change data (SR 4.10).
  • The exchange of asset Electronic Service Record data (SR 4.12).
  • The exchange of message header / wrapper data that is common to all event messages (SR 4.13).

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• The exchange of technical / engineering specifications (referenced data) relating to assets (SR 4.11).
• All elements of the System Requirement Document [SRD] from which it has been derived, that deal with initialisation of data sets in receiving systems, namely:
  • The exchange of initial asset serviceability status data (SR 4.14).
  • The exchange of initial asset location data (SR 4.15).
  • The exchange of initial asset ownership data (SR 4.16).
  • The exchange of initial asset configuration data (SR 4.17).
  • The exchange of initial asset engineering instruction embodiment data (SR 4.18).
  • The exchange of initial asset work order data (SR 4.19).
  • The exchange of initial asset standard maintenance task data (SR 4.20).
  • The exchange of message header / wrapper data that is common to all initialisation messages (SR 4.21).
